Step 1: Introduction
You are about to start working with a mouse equipped with the Hoverstop active ergonomic system. This system reminds you to let go of the mouse when you are not actually using it. Most people hold their mouse frequently and for long periods without using it, causing for unnecessary strain on the muscles involved.
Static muscle tension can lead to complaints in the arm, neck and shoulder (e.g. cold hands, tingling sensation or pain and stiffness). By frequently letting go of the mouse the muscles get to relax and recover, reducing risk of computer overuse related problems. The Hoverstop mouse detects that your hand is present (or even just above it). If you are not using the mouse (clicking or scrolling) for more than 10 seconds it will vibrate. When this happens, take away your hand and relax it on your desk. |
